BAP&TAP Masterclass

We kindly invite you to attend our British Association of Psychopharmacology (BAP)& Turkish Association of Psychopharmacology (TAP) MASTERCLASS in BIPOLAR DISORDERS, which will be held jointly by BAP & TAP for the first time at this year meeting. The course is aimed to cover up 3 main topics: mania, depression and maintenance which will be further supported by case discussions, MCQs and Q&A panel on an interactive basis. All participants will be provided certificates of attendance approved by BAP & TAP. Each topic will be covered by the leading experts from BAP and TAP family.

During 7th International Congress on Psychopharmacology and 3rd International Symposium on Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology, the course will be organized in two parts; first part of 210 minutes and second part of 210 minutes and total duration will be about 7 hours.

Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adult DIVA Course
DIVA Course, created to overcome the diagnose problems in adult ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders) and accepted for diagnose in international researches, will be delivered during by its’ creator, Sandra Kooij.

Participants can download the Turkish form available on or download the mobile applications prepared for smart phones and tablets.

DIVA Course which will provide convenience in diagnosing and researching ADHD in adults will be held during 7th ICP and 3rd ISCAP. The course will be organized as 4 hour event with application, question & answer and discussion.

COURSE-1 Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) Course

Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) is an Evidence-Based Psychotherapy for adults and adolescents. It has demonstrated efficacy for affective disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, PTSD and perinatal depression. IPT has also been demonstrated to be efficacious as a maintenance treatment to prevent relapse of depression and has been effective when delivered in a variety of settings, including mental health clinics and school-based clinics.

IPT is based on an attachment model, in which distress is tied to difficulty in interpersonal relationships. The targets of IPT are not only symptoms, but also improvement in interpersonal functioning and relationships as well as improved social support. Therapy focuses on one or more interpersonal problem areas, including Interpersonal Disputes, Role Transitions, and Grief and Loss Issues. IPT is time-limited, and typical courses of therapy last from 8-20 sessions, which are tapered over time.

This course will present the basic approach of IPT and it's evidence base. It will also give clinicians practical tools which they may integrate into their practice immediately if they wish to do so. Our aim is to enrich your tool box what ever your background or theoretical approach.

Schema Therapy, Empathic Confrontation Workshop

Schema Therapy is a kind of therapy developed by Jeffrey Young in 1990s upon his realization of the ineffectiveness of the standard cognitive therapy in personality disorders time to time. Especially the studies may become inefficient on automatic thoughts in cases of axis II disorder in which the counselees have extremely needy, addicted, narcissist and aggressive behaviors. So the Schema Therapy which also includes gestalt and interpersonal psychotherapy techniques; deals with the mental problems in scheme level. In recent years clinicians and researches show great interest in this technique and as a result; the number of articles about Schema Therapy has become more than the articles about other therapies. (Lee, 2014)

The Empathic Confrontation technique, mainly used for Borderline and Narcissist Personality Disorders, will be especially discussed in this Workshop. The Empathic Confrontation, as a technique of pushing the persona determinedly for change without offence when he/she is not able to discover him/herself with Socratic Dialogue methods; will be taught together with video presentations and practices.
